Gold in a jar: Lviv customs found an unusual parcel

In the Lviv region, employees of the SFS customs found gold bars in a paint can. As it turned out, a citizen living in the UK tried to send gold bars in the package.

"So, on October 17, during the customs control of the postal consignment, eight bars of yellow metal were found," the SFS reports.

The parcel arrived at the Lviv address. Among the things declared were a can of paint. During its in-depth inspection, customs officers found eight gold bars with the stamp of the 999.9th sample with a total weight of 1.64 kg.

Yellow metal bank ingots were sent for examination, their cost will be set additionally. The case will be sent to court.
