On March 4, 1386 in Krakow, the husband of Jadwiga, Grand Duke of Lithuania Jagiello, ascended the throne of Poland. He was baptized just two weeks before. For almost 50 years of his rule, Vladislav II Jagailo baptized Lithuania, annexed Galician Russia to his possessions, achieved vassal dependence of the Moldavian principality and stopped German expansion to the East with a victory over the Teutonic Order.

1750 - 22-year-old Count Kirill Razumovsky was elected hetman of Ukraine by correspondence at the council of the Ukrainian foreman in Glukhov and was officially approved in that position after three months.

1885 - in Kanstatt, near Stuttgart, the first test of the "four-wheeled carriage with a gasoline engine", created by German engineers Gottlib Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, took place. Motor crew had one cylinder and could reach speeds of up to 15 km/h.

1918 - in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, in the area of ​​the Bermuda Triangle, the naval ship Cyclops disappeared without a trace. 306 people were missing.
