Historians have created a video about the collection of ancient brooches

Employees of the Historical and Cultural Reserve "Old Plisnesk" created a video about fibulae from the cult center of the Plinesna settlement.

Plīnesna settlement is located near the village of Podgortsy, Brodivsky district, Lviv region. Six years ago, archaeologists discovered a pagan temple with the houses of priests in this area. Among the finds are fibulae belonging to sacrificed women.

Brooches are ancient metal fasteners that fixed raincoats on one shoulder. They also served as decorations. Such fasteners were common from the Bronze Age to the early Middle Ages.

Plisnesk has long attracted treasure hunters. So, about 80 burial mounds were first excavated. Archaeologists complain that some of the valuable material has been lost. But science still has a wide field for action.

Archaeologists studied the topography of the ancient city, the system of its fortifications, discovered more than 70 residential and commercial buildings.
