In the North Caucasus, archaeologists examined the remains of a woman from the Alan tribe. The woman was buried with expensive jewelry, which indicates her high status: perhaps she was the wife of a warlord or leader. Artifacts found in the grave date back to the first century ad.
On the fingers found two rings, in the manufacture of which was used quite complex by the standards of the time technology. They are made in the Roman style - such products are very highly valued in the barbarian world. Shoes were decorated with beads of glass and orange mineral - carnelian. In addition, the woman owned a purple medallion decorated with amethyst.
