In France discovered the tomb and the burial mounds of the iron age

In the city of Saint-Vulbas in France, archaeologists have unearthed a rich burial of the iron age, in which they found the remains of a woman. The woman was buried on her back, with an undamaged pot next to her. Her wrists were decorated with bracelets made of copper plates and green glass beads. A belt with a brass buckle encircled her waist.

The tomb is almost completely destroyed, but researchers were able to restore its original shape. The coffin lay in a rectangular pit. The tree had long since decayed, but the imprint remained on the ground. Fragments of wood indicate that the coffin was made of oak. In addition to the tomb, burial mounds of the VIII century BC were found on the territory of the excavation. There is a burial monument - a fence, inside which there is a pit with cremated remains.
