A large burial site has been found in the South-Eastern part of Poland. Workers during the construction of the road suddenly came across an old children's cemetery. The archaeologists who arrived have already counted 115 graves, most of them containing the remains of children. Many of them were buried with coins in their mouths.

So far, it has been suggested that the money is a payment similar to that given to Charon when crossing the Styx to the Underworld. This practice was found not only in the ancient world, but also in the States of the Middle East. There are even cases when dead people were buried in this way in the XX century.

The recovered coins date back to the years when Sigismund III Vasa and Jan II Casimir Vasa ruled. All the bodies lay with their heads to the West, their arms along their sides. It is probably a Catholic cemetery, the graves are not damaged – apparently, the locals took care of them.
