Several artifacts were found in the Manor castle

The study of the ruins of the Barsky castle in the Vinnytsia region brought researchers the first results. Excavations on the territory of the castle began in June, the main task is to determine the depth of the Foundation of the castle walls and study the cultural layers of the defense structure. First of all, archaeologists found a trench under the Foundation and a pillar pit, dug in the XVII century and intended to fix the support column. This discovery is important for understanding the technology of building such fortresses.

The master's castle was one of the largest fortifications on the tail. In 1538, a wooden fortress was built here, and in 1636 Stanislaw Koniecpolski chose this place as his new residence and began building a stone castle. Among the finds, archaeologists found fragments of tools, a lead ball, a glass core, a fragment of a bottle, and parts of ceramic products.
