Under the building of the old theater they found a treasure trove of gold coins

During the construction work on the site of the old theater of Cressoni, coins of the 5th century AD were discovered. It happened in the center of the Italian city of Como.

This theater was opened in 1870, but due to internal changes in 1997 it was closed. Now from the building of the theater there were only walls.

On September 5, 2018, the builders discovered a vessel filled with gold coins. The information was transferred to archaeologists, who are now engaged in research of the find and the location of its discovery.
